The increasing cases of personal data or ID card (KTP) misuse without consent for applying for online loans is a serious issue that we need to address. To prevent the misuse of personal data, it is essential for us to understand how to check whether our ID card has been used to apply for an online loan. One of the easiest and most effective ways to do this is by using the SLIK (Financial Information Service System) from OJK (Financial Services Authority).
Before starting the SLIK OJK checking process, there are several supporting documents we need to prepare, including the original ID card, a personal photo, and a photo of ourselves with the ID card. Once we have all these documents, we can follow the steps below to perform the SLIK OJK check:
If we find a loan that we do not recognize or have never applied for, the next step is to immediately report the finding and inquire further about the BI checking or SLIK OJK through the available OJK contacts, which can be done by phone at 157, email at konsumen@ojk.go.id, or via WhatsApp at 081-157-157-157.
