Your KTP is safe from online loans, check here!

The increasing cases of personal data or ID card (KTP) misuse without consent for applying for online loans is a serious issue that we need to address. To prevent the misuse of personal data, it is essential for us to understand how to check whether our ID card has been used to apply for an online loan. One of the easiest and most effective ways to do this is by using the SLIK (Financial Information Service System) from OJK (Financial Services Authority).

Before starting the SLIK OJK checking process, there are several supporting documents we need to prepare, including the original ID card, a personal photo, and a photo of ourselves with the ID card. Once we have all these documents, we can follow the steps below to perform the SLIK OJK check:

  1. Open the page https://idebku.ojk.go.id.
  2. Select the "Registration" option.
  3. Fill in all the requested data accurately, starting from the type of debtor, type of identity, nationality, identification number, to the available captcha code.
  4. Ensure that all the information we enter is accurate and corresponds to our personal data.
  5. After confirming that all data is correct, click "Next" to continue filling out the SLIK OJK form.
  6. Next, upload the supporting documents, which are the ID card and personal photo, as per the provided instructions.
  7. Once everything is filled out and uploaded correctly, click the "Submit Application" button.
  8. After successful registration, we will receive a registration number as proof that the application process has been submitted.
  9. We can check the status of our application in the "Service Status" menu by entering the registration number provided.
  10. OJK will process the iDeb application through our email within a maximum of 1 working day after registration.

If we find a loan that we do not recognize or have never applied for, the next step is to immediately report the finding and inquire further about the BI checking or SLIK OJK through the available OJK contacts, which can be done by phone at 157, email at konsumen@ojk.go.id, or via WhatsApp at 081-157-157-157.
